Quick Observation

Freezing level was down quite low compared to previous weeks, and 15-20cm of powder fell Saturday night thru Sunday at elevations above 300m in the Nahmint Valley. Above 1000m, the storm slab was very reactive to skiers weight, especially on convex southwestern aspects. See photo of minor slide (size <1) triggered by one of us on a small terrain feature. Ski quality was great at treeline and into the low alpine, lightest powder we've had all season. Still very icy and solid under the trees below 1000m.

Avalanche Information

Small release of storm slab on SW aspect triggered by skier.
