Walk up from the roadside pull out for lil joe lake trail and up through the logging road and marked trail to alpine. Very obvious inversion. -7c at the truck and above freezing in the alpine. Felt hot in the sun. Mellow turns were had. Snow was easy to walk on and not “too grabby” on the way down. Some of the mid elevation (subalpine and tree line meadows) skied decent enough when it got warmer. No real nasty breakable crusts which was sweet. Felt very spring like. Observed an obvious crown on the south side of Cronin. Looks like it released around some rock and stepped down, but I also don’t know what I’m talking about.
