Skied camp west lite down to about 1500m and then bumped back up and skiing the McGill main chute. Evidence of debris in both. We did intentially trigger a dry loose avy at the top of camp west lite through breaking off cornice/windlip. Skiing was good! Nice low density snow and relatively deep up high
We broke some cornices/windlips off at the top of camp west lite. The first 3 were about human body weight size and had little effect, a bit of sloughing. The last one was rather large, perhaps the size of a small car. This triggered a dry loose avalanche, probably size 1.5/2 that took some of the debris from the previous cornice breaks and ran for quite a while! It seemed to be the top 30-40 didn't appear to run on the December 1st crust. It was low density snow and the debris itself was quite soft. It occurred as expected and as the bulletin had predicted.
