Avalanche Information

We’ve seen numerous reactions in the last two days. Today we skied tumbling where wind affect was present in most slopes. Top 5cm of the snow pack was 1 finger density, down from 4. On the up track we felt tension in numerous locations and made a few adjustments to the skin track to avoid larger planar features. On the down we found that this 5cm wind slab would move and then entrain facets below. With numerous turns this mass of facets + wind slab reached a point that it would undercut adjacent facets and created long running “sluff” the would have pushed you a long way.
