Storm was windy even at lower elevations and in sheltered terrain. We travelled up to 1200m in the shames area. In some places there’s 15-20cms on crust with major sluffing in steeper terrain. In lee areas it’s more like 40-50cms. Widespread shooting cracks in wind loaded areas. We observed some small unsupported features around 900m that had slid on what looked like faceting on the crust interface (pictured).
The new snow is upside down, it was hard to tell without a more involved investigation if it was just from wind or whether the last part of the storm was just too borderline on temps.
