Today we toured out behind sunshine for a quick and dirty layer ID with testing bonding of new storm snow.
In the top of the snowpack (162cm - 114cm), we were seeing fist to 4F+ DFs, with evidence of graupel and Iregular crystals as SF, with mid pack being pencil rounding grains further down (114cm - 59cm) to a decomposing crust at 59cm.
As it was getting late, we only had time for two CTs with a result of CTH21×2 SP, failing on ppsd 2-3 mm on the density change at 114cms.
We only got one result of CTH28 SC, failing at a mid storm interface @ 103cm
Light gusting moderate winds from the south and light snow transport with air temp of -13.2 c.
