We went to Bell Mountain today for some sled ski laps of the burn. We noticed southwest winds had blown the latest snowfalls into soft slabs at upper elevations. There was a small avalanche that had let go under a cornice and another that a group had cut while playing on a great little test slope along a wind lip. We chose some sheltered runs a bit lower down the slope and enjoyed a few laps of fast skiing in the fresh snow.
