It was beautiful and mild at Lucille today. We saw snow blowing into start zones, building new wind slabs, as the wind picked up in the afternoon. We witnessed some loose dry avalanches out of steep rocky terrain and we saw 2 slab avalanches from last week. Although we havent had any significant weather changes in the last few weeks we keep seeing evidence that has us choosing smaller terrain with less consequence. We are mindful of areas where the snowpack goes from thick to thin and where wind slabs can trigger deeper layers.
