Quick Observation

We started out the day with a fairly conservative trip plan given the hazard rating. We made our way up the ridge sticking to trees in low angle terrain and saw no whumping or cracking. There was a number of older slab avalanches that looked to have occurred +48 hrs ago. Near the ridge top we could feel wind effected snow under our skis. Our snow profile was less scary than yesterday, however, this one piece of data was not enough for us to step out to steeper terrain just yet.
