I traveled in some mid elevation terrain that was protected from the wind, but could easily observe wind blown snow on the exposed ridge lines, possibly created some sensitive wind drifts. I did have a unusual collapse of the snow pack, but it was likely due to the very rocky underlying terrain with some hollow unsupportable spots.

What a great time to visit those off the beaten path places that you have your eye on and are just waiting for good coverage and a stable snow pack.

The cold low density snow was easily being blown around today and would imagine there are some places where these wind slabs are easily triggered. I would suspect these are generally shallow right now, but may increase in depth with the next storm tomorrow.

Generaly great powder conditions with solid supportble snow with a few areas of stiffer wind drifted snow on the exposed ridges.
