Started from trailhead at 12pm. Intermittent light to moderate rain/snow showers below about 6000', transitioning to all snow above. At Sand Flat at 2pm the air temperature was 30 F and it looks like most of the trees hadn't dropped too much snow during the day. Enjoyable descent from 6800' to about 6000' in about 12" of dense powder on rain crust, and good enough coverage to not worry too much about buried logs, etc. Mashed potatoes snow consistency below 6000' with sketchier coverage...I definitely scraped some buried logs. Small rollers on 30 deg slopes below 6500'.
