Quick report
The photo of 2 of us below is right at The Step where we decided to turn around. It was very hot by 9:30 AM and rockfall was beginning to be a conern. Another photo shows the scree we had to scramble through due to lack of snowcover. And finally, there is a picture of Shasta from Marine Camp where we stayed the night before. It is definitely late season and not optimal conditions. But someone with intermediate or advanced skills should be able to complete the route so long as they start early enough.
