Quick report

During a trip to the somewhat obscure Sokokis Brook Slide, I encountered a variety of travel surfaces including supportive crusts and pockets of wind-drifted snow. The drifts were interspersed with trees and did not show any signs of reactivity. For most of the ascent, boot penetration was less than 5cm on wind-scoured surfaces. Depth measurements yielded 114cm in the forest next to the slide at 4,000 ft., while the gully below had an amount beyond what I could measure.
