The upper 8 inches of the snow pack has some dry weak snow. The last four inches is higher density and sitting on this weaker snow. See video of test slope at 6400 ft.

1. Photo of test slope sliding

2. East winds last week topped an amazing amout of fir trees. I guess they do not like east winds anymore than us!

3. Roller balls down below 6000ft.

Lots of snow blowing around out there and wind loading most from the West but last week the wind blew from the East. Wind slabs were very stubborn to move.

There is some weak dry snow about 6-10 inches down at the mid elevations. Maybe another issue with incoming new heavy snow. Test slope shows failure within this.

Mixed bag out there but still some dry soft snow in the sheltered areas. Damp below 6000ft.
