Quick Observation

It was very warm in the sun but still cool in the shade. We found patches of dry snow on shaded aspects above 1200 m, with melt-freeze condiitons everywhere else. Didn’t see any new avalanches today, but lots of evidence of yesterday’s loose wet cycle. Also saw a day old slab avalanche on a east aspect at 1300 m (see pic).
