=20F at the Dickey Creek trailhead, calm wind at 8am. Valley to ridge top fog that eventually dissipated as the front approached. 22F at 7200', light winds in the am. =Poor coverage below 5000' or so. =Good skiing on south and west aspects. = We beat the incoming front enjoying a bit of sun. =From about 6700' and up the surface snow showed some riming, and surface hoar development up to 4mm. =Previous storm snow has enough cohesion in the top 30cm to form a soft slab. Attributed to warming temps and solar radiation. =Solar radiation was noticeable on westerly aspects. Bit heavier when skiing. =Stability was good. =Wind picked up throughout the day from light to moderate. =The front rolled through at about 2PM.
