Quick report
Went to check on the access and snowpack in the Swan Lake area:
- Total snow depth was 1 foot or less up to 6000'
- Above 6000' the snowpack doubled to 2 feet
- We found the 12/7 crust burried 10-16 inches deep up to 6800' (our high point)
- Dry powder snow was in limited supply on our southerly route
- Current snow surfaces featured: a thin melt freeze crust, wet snow, and surface hoar (which was getting nuked in the sun)
- We briefly dipped onto a North aspect at 6800' and found buried surface hoar which yeilded an unstable result in a large column test.
The descent was rough.

Sun with building high stratus to the West. Generally calm with SW gusts light to moderate.
Snowpack
Pit @ 6800' N: ECTP20 down 45 on 12/1 surface hoar right below 12/7 crust. 12/7 Crust is 6cm thick.
