- <p>Facet layer near the ground beginning to gain strength an become stubborn (ECTX). However, this layer still seems to be a weakness as it is F hard and PST 40/100 (END). With the mild temps, softening temperature gradient, and this layer being buried deeper (and with upcoming snow forecasted), I am hopeful that we are on the mend with this facet layer, however we may have to pass thru "scary moderate" hazard to get to trusting it on steeper slopes (low probability, high consequence).</p>

Snowpack
2'' of new, low density snow fell last night in most locations with a little more in some locations. Great skiing conditions. Surface snow did get stuck to my skins while digging a pit, so the sunshine had some effect today, but the snow surface did not seem overly affected.
