Observation: Pine Canyon

I found icy conditions on aspects that see any sun, including east facing slopes. There was not enough solar warming to ever melt the surface. South facing aspects are bare or have little coverage. Surprisingly, there were soft turns in sheltered and north to northeast facing terrain. Shallow, manageable wind slabs were found on the lee side of the ridge tops.
