Overall lots of red flags out there today. Plenty of fairly large collapses, and cracking as we traveled. We dug a pit just to remind ourselves what a reactive pit looks like after a few weeks of quiet weather. We dug at 8300 ft on a N facing slope. We got and ECTP 14, with a very clean Q1 shear at 60cm from the ground. The slab that broke was probably 40cm (15 inches) or so deep, and solid enough to toss down the hill.
