Quick report
Went back to the PC Ridgeline to finish some unfinished business that was delayed by fog. Hiking up S facing USA Bowl noted that the south facing that was not frozen yesterday was completely frozen and hard today, slippery, with slide for life conditions on a more steep and sustained slope. Took a run in South Monitor hoping for some soft underlying snow, no luck, basically dust on your choice of crust, wind crust, or sun crust. the inch or so of new snow had also stiffened up due to cold temps and wind. Still not much snow transport with the wind, not much loose snow to move around. The shallow wind slabs from yesterday were non reactive and seemed to be welded in place today as was the minor sluffing from yesterday. No wet activity was noted, the colder temps and wind seemed to shut it down. Photos, a couple of clouds dropping in around noon, and a scenic pic of the heart of the Central Wasatch not much else to take photos of.
Snowpack
Snow that was damp yesterday at the mid and lower elevations had seized up and was stiff, south facing which was a little punchy yesterday had also seized up tight make breaking trail on south aspects slippery and painful on my bad knee. Snow on the north end of the compass at 10,000ft also had stiffened up a bit, due to wind and cold temps.
