South Peak

Variable surface melt/freeze combinations with transistioning  new snow from last week.   Boot packed up NE aspect of South Peak and encountered boot penetration from 5-25cm.  Boot crampons were not necessary.  No signs of surface loose wet instability. Lower elevation snow on solar slopes were wet and sticky, but not punchy.  Another warm day tomorrow before temperatures decrease and rain/precip increases by the end of the week.
