Quick report
Toured up to treeline above Girlfriend Hill, skied back along the pillow palace. Cold air temps, warm in the sun, bluebird day with calm winds. Firm, melt freeze surface on the way up turned into soft snow near tree line. Hand pit showed a few cm of soft snow on near surface facets above the January pineapple express crust. Great skiing above 2400', hard icy not so fun surface below that.
