Quick report

Left the propane tanks around 7:15am and it was downright muggy out. Touring through the old growth trees above the Tele Bowls, it was quickly apparent that the surface snow had been absolutely zapped by the above freezing temps and cloudy skies of late. There seemed to be a positive correlation between thickness of the trees and heaviness of the snow -- guessing greenhousing was a factor. Saw old small roller balls on a NNE aspect at 9,000ft, coincidently at which point glopping became a serious problem all the way up to my high point at ~10,000ft. The ride down primarily consisted of very heavy soft snow. No signs of instability during tour; I'd say the biggest hazard was riding conditions. I did not conduct any snowpack tests nor did I probe for snow depth.
