Quick report

Went to take a look at high shady N in the upper reaches of Mineral Fork, after a week of clear cold nights the snow has faceted and lost most of its integrity. There was a total of 18 to 20 inches on the ground at 10,400ft and the wind crusts and slabs have broken down and the snowpack has become mostly unsupportable. The snow coverage is fairly wide spread in the upper drainages which will become problematic when we do receive more snow.

photos: surface hoar around 9500ft NE facing, coverage in Mineral.
