-
Widespread poor snow structure in this area, with very weak, loose faceted snow sandwiched between surface crusts and under the 1-6 rain crust.

-Chained facets under the prominent deteriorating (unsupportable) 1-6 rain crust.
-A series of crusts and sandwiched sugary faceted snow between them in the upper layers of the shallow snowpack.
-Looking west across Logan Canyon and up Bunch Grass.
Snowpack
Mostly challenging breakable crust conditions. A bit more supportable on steeper west facing slopes, but breaking through (1-6) crust into very loose faceted snow throughout lower angle approach. Very difficult travel for Otto the dog, since he would sink through the crust and wallow in the faceted snow below it.
