- <p>Weakest snow is the top layer. Pretty significant temperature gradient in the upper snowpack causing faceting. New snow also capped with small surface hoar. Great for riding, not so good for when the next load arrives. </p>

Very light dry snow capped with small surface hoar. Easy trailbreaking on supportable base. Great riding conditions though still relatively shallow.
