Quick report
Completely saturated/isothermal snowpack up to 5500’, above it only feels like the bottom 20-40cm’s are still holding on at 6300’, hardness changes were felt but not investigated. Pit was not dug but lots of hasty observations and pole probes provided this info. 1-2” of new snow in the past 48h up top. No overnight freeze either, very very light crust on open areas but no crust in the trees. Rollerballs below 5500’ on anything steeper than 30 degrees and on occasion would gouge to near the ground lower down. One tiny wet loose on a pitch that touched 35 degrees around 4500’. Snow/rain line around 6000’ at 10am. No signs of wind loading on the new snow where we were. 35 degrees at the trailhead at noon.
