We were surprised to see very few signs of instability. We observed a few small collapses on our way up, which felt like they did not propagate beyond our skis. The were most likely collapsing below the upper part of the mid-october crust, roughly 1-1.5' deep.

Clear and calm, with temperatures in the mid teens to low 20s F. Beautiful.
Snowpack
We dug two pits at about 3100' in Hippie Bowl. There was about a foot or so of new low-density snow on the surface, which fell on facets above a crust. We did not see any especially alarming test results in our pits (ECTN14 below the new snow, ECTP25 below the Oct. crust), but this could quite likely change once we continue to add snow above the two weak interfaces. Time will tell.

Avalanche
We noticed the crown of a medium-sized (D2) avalanche on the steep south-facing terrain off Eddie's that looked like it released mid-storm. Other than that the only other avalanche we noticed was a very fresh glide avalanche on the front side of Sunburst (see photos).
