Dug a pit and performed an ECT at 7000 ft on a North NE aspect. Wind was about 0 mph in the protection of the trees and 5-10mph on ridge tops. About 10-15cm of new snow or 4-6in sitting on top of a soft rain crust from 1/18. ECT results were ECTN22 Fracture initiated at 40cm right below shovel compression but did not propagate any further. Surface snow was wet and dense and roller balling lightly on steeper pitches. Ski cuts on steeper pitches produced no results.
