Touchy conditions observed today. Overnight wind and an increase in temperature created a stiff slab on S, E, and N aspects between 7,000' and 9,000' in elevation. Shooting cracks were widespread, with one traveling over 100' laterally across the slope. Several remote triggers of D1 avalanches were observed in the vicinity of Windy Ridge, and no less than 5 to 6 large collapses were heard on the tour.
