Quick report
- Collapsing
- isolated
Remotely triggered an avalanche on a NNW convexity at about 11,400ft. Triggered from above the convexity by a downhill turn on a snowboard from about 10-15ft away. Crown was about 3-4ft at it's biggest point. No signs at all of instability until the upper part of our skintrack -about 11,800ft we started experiencing wumphing/collapsing- the collapsing was most often triggered by the second person on the skintrack. We were looking out for wind slabs but did not experience that specifically. We were breaking trail in about 12" of new snow, which was more than we expected!
