-Wet and warm weather made for a swampy day inside our jackets. -Toured up to 5,800ft and skied NW aspects. -Found 8-12" of fresh snow. -Towards the end of our climb, heard what we assumed was an avalanche for 15-20 seconds. Due to visibility, we could not see anything up high. From our location at 5,300ft we did not see any debris or sign besides the noise. Unsure if it occurred in our drainage or a neighboring one. -Dug at pit at 5,300ft on a NE aspect and got ECTN6 10cm down (fresh snow) and ECTN17 15cm down. No widespread propagation. -Isolated cracking under our skis on our descent at mid elevations. -At lower elevations, we were greeted with grabby snow on our way out.
Avalanche
-Observed a small (D0.5) wet loose slide on an E/NE aspect at around 5,000ft, naturally triggered. -Noticed it on our way out, did not notice it on our way in. -Also observed a crown and fresh debris on a N/NE aspect at around 5,500ft. Appeared to be fresh and naturally triggered. Due to poor visibility, we could not get a better observation.
