Mid elevation Porter fork seems to have a similar setup to higher elevations in the Cottonwoods, just about half the depth. 15cm or so of loose weak snow (was surprisingly wet, could pack a snowball) above 20cm of firm P hardness crust from the ground. Didn't do a ECT but last week's storm snow was propagating easily with a shovel tilt.
Good coverage on the road and most of the hiking trail, should be smooth after this next storm
