Talkative and reactive snowpack all day from the valley floor up to Surprise lake. My subjective observation was that low and mid-elevation slopes were collapsing at a higher frequency and greater distribution than upper elevations, but it was happening everywhere. Widespread cracking as well and several small releases on convex features. All hand pits failed on isolation on 1/4 interface. New snow depths ranged from 18 to 24 inches. Noticeable settlement in the last several days and the new snow felt more cohesive and slabby than it did a few days ago.

AM was clear and calm. Increasing clouds and wind throughout the day. Alpine winds (variable) were light in the afternoon gusting to moderate. Wind transort noted along ridges. Periods of light snow.
