Quick report

Rode out to check the west side snowpack in the Tetons. November drought layer was less concerning in this area compared to Teton Pass. No propagation in stabiltiy tests on this layer. Visible wind affect from Dec 10th with significant scouring. Unreactive wind slabs. North facing terrain still held preserved snow even with warm temperatures today above the valley inversion.

Snowpack

November drought layer was the main focus today. Felt noticeable difference by simply probing to feel for hardness changes compared to other areas of the Tetons which exhibit the hard ice crust. The top November drought crust here was P hard, melt freeze. Facets were less developed underneath as well. 9100 NW aspect ECTN 16 down 40cm ECTN 24 down 57cm (November drought).
