Snake River Range

The average height of snow was 12-14 inches up to 7,000 feet. On S aspects, this consisted primarily of melt-freeze crust, and on northern aspects, this snowpack was primarily facets mixed with a few thinner crusts. Very large surface hoar layer on crust is buried beneath two inches of fresh snowfall, also capped with surface hoar.  No results in pit (ECTX, PST 60/120 Arr) due to lack of slab. I expect things to be sensitive here after the next snowfall, even a small amount. Note that warm temperature swings (even the above-freezing to below-freezing) do not affect weak snow layers greater than 8 inches (~20 cm) deep.
