Quick report
Storm skiing in the Tincan trees this afternoon. Ski quality was very good above around 1500' or so, but it was getting warm quickly and raining hard at the road by about 2:30 this afternoon. We looked at the crown of one of the skier-triggered avalanches from yesterday and confirmed it failed on a layer of surface hoar buried about 18" (45 cm) deep.

It started snowing around noon. It was raining up to around 1200' on our way back to the car, but snowing hard above that. It seemed like it was warming up through the afternoon.
Snowpack
We stopped and poked around the crown of one of the skier-triggered avalanches reported yesterday. The avalanche had failed on a layer of 6-8 mm surface hoar buried about 18" (45 cm) deep by the Thanksgiving storm.

We didn't see anything that hasn't already been reported. But visibility was very limited.
