We saw the avalanche from the parking area and decided to tour up to check it out. Along the route we had widespread cracking. Snowpack was variable from completely scoured to upto 1m in areas. A 10 mm melt/refreeze (rain?) above facets was widespread. We stayed in low angle terrain and turned back on the sub ridge between 2 bowls.
Avalanche
In the north bowl of 2 Bowls an older (within the last week?) D3 avalanche. Start zone was around 3400’ on a SW aspect. Avalanche ran down its gully maybe 1800’ and ripped all the way to bare ground.
