Quick report
Observed signs of widespread avalanche activity while touring up Bertha Creek. Quite a bit of old debris south of Bertha Creek along the north facing terrain off Lipps. There's a large amount of debris from a recent slide that happened on the SW aspect of Cornbiscuit before turning north into Goldpan. Although the crown did not look deep, the avalanche had wide propagation and a lot of snow was involved and deposited in this gully. Based on other observations in this area it appears to have been a natural avalanche that occurred before the morning of 3/21. During the tour we did our best to avoid steep, convex terrain features as well as areas where the snowpack looked thin (exposed rocks). We did not experience any signs of instability on this tour, such as the snowpack collapsing (whumpfing) like we had on saturday at a different location at lower elevation.
