Todays travel was up to 10420 via the West ridge. Along the ridge we observed sustained moderate winds out of the SW. In sheltered un-wind effected zones it seemed like the storm has dropped about 5" of snow. The snow was a bit damp and more dense than our usual storms. Overall this heavyer snow seemed to be adhering pretty well but on slick bedsurfaces/crusts these wind slabs were pretty reactive.
Stopped skiing around 2:30 and the wind and snow seemed as if it would continue for quite a bit longer in high elevations. I imagine in certain terrain with large fetches wind slabs may become pretty large.
