New snow and warm temps... but couldn't see

A short tour up summit knob, on the hunt for some soft snow and some definition! It was -1 at the highway mid day and clouds came all the way down to about 1200m. We toured up walking from rock to rock in very flat light and made it up to 1200m. The new snow on the surface ranged from 3 cm to 10 cm and was heavy but it is improving riding conditions by sticking to old hard surfaces. Skiing was fast and relatively consistent given the heavy surface snow. Winds were light and though we were thinking about windslabs heading out this morning we saw no evidence of them on our short tour. Temps are back up to +1 at the highway by 4 PM.
