<p>Observations from the Empire area today. Overall poor stability.
Weather conditions: poor vis, S-1 to S1 PI, moderate to strong S-SW winds on exposed features with light transport, rain-snow line 650-700m.
Remote triggered Size 2 on N aspect at 2175m from ~25m distance while traveling along a ridge line. Poor vis & stability preventing additional obs. Slab depth 20-75cm. Fracturing of the slope continued another 75m further along the ridge.
Test Pits:
N aspect at 2100m
-HS 180
-CT & ECT produced sudden results at 120cm on 3-5mm SH from early DEC high pressure, additional planar results were found storm snow layers
SSW aspect at 2125m
-HS 150
-CT & ECT produced sudden results with easy scores at 105cm on 1mm FC overlying 10mm crust
Found all the evidence needed to keep it low angle today.
