North Terrace

25-30 cm of storm snow overlay a now very firm and smooth m/f crust and overall dense, firm basal snowpack north of Terrace. The storm snow was still loose and generally unconsolidated but did exhibit shooting cracks and would release, both directly and remotely, forming crowns; however, the loose slabs would immediately break up and run as sloughs. Once more snow is added, and the existing storm snow settles, I would think consolidated slabs are likely to form over a very twitchy bed surface.
