Started the day with low angle trees. Confidence was growing in snowpack so we decided to move to a steeper run off the backside.
Ski cut from small convex feature at the entrance of the run produced shooting cracks and a small settlement.
Moved down the ridge to plan B, different line with lower angle entrance/slope. Stayed on the mellow slopes for the rest of the day.
Snow quality was blower, grade “A” powder.
