Diana Lake

<p>We spent several days at Diana Lake Lodge. The temperature rose from -25 to -5. There were significant northerly winds in the alpine. Friday we received 5cm of new snow. A test profile at 2160 m showed 5 mm surface hoar 20 cm down with an otherwise well settled snow pack. CTM 11 RP on surface hoar. HS 280 cm. Saturday we started the day by cautiously skiing on a sheltered south aspect at tree line but gained confidence throughout the day as the new snow was well bonded to the crust below and there were no signs of instability on this lee aspect, between 2250 and 2450 m.</p>
