Fuzzy knob slabs and slides

South Columbia

Toured up Fuzzy Knob today. 30-40cm accumulated snow from the recent storm. Took our time on the way down, found a few places where the new snow was sliding on the buried hoar layer. New snow was unconsolidated so didn't see too many big slabs. Saw the remains of a 1.5-2 that may have been natural or ski triggered by the group in front of us, didn't see it happen so can't be sure. Start point was on a steep convex roll. Also noticed some shooting cracks and kicked off some small slabs. Took it slow and easy and had fun in the deep snow in the less steep areas. Snowpack definitely needs some time to bond in the steeper sections in the trees.
Unsure if natural or rider triggered, but 40cm crown, ran out quite a ways, 1.5-2 sized.
