Stranger Danger

<p>Early in the day we witnessed a significant cornice failure estimated 60cm-70cm triggering a 1.5-2 slab avalanche across the high alpine. Higher winds than expected, especially in the higher alpine, causing sublimation and wind loading on west aspects played a significant role in changing our plans for the day. Untouched powder was tempting, but risk vs reward was too high. Perhaps another day. Blue skies allowed for plenty of travel to explore new terrain for this group, and gave us incredible views of Mt Robson and Kinbasket Lake from above Morning Glory. </p>
