Siege on Ursus 🫡

kykliss, Saturday 18th February, 2023 7:40PM

It’s powder madness here at the Connaught Valley/Ursus. Around 25cms of new low density snow made for great skiing. Felt like a ski resort with apparently over 100 people shrelping the slopes. Still able to get some good turns in. The wind picked up about halfway through the day and there was noticeable wind transport along the ridges. No signs of instability from areas we skied but Lee slopes have had a lot of loading on them. A solar crust was felt in the trees but dissipated when at TL. Also crazy that there is only one min for the amount of people there today.
