Commonwealth/Pig Tail was quite cold to start, tons of vehicles (makes sense as people driving up separately and meeting at trail head) and lots of folks around.
Significant melt crust at valley bottom, even in shaded areas. Higher up a nice skiff of new snow over melt and freeze crust, generally powder in north facing zones. Wind was cranking at the col and some lee (east) wind slabs developing in alpine. -1 in the shade, +6 in the sun at 3 pm.
Based on vehicle numbers in last two days there is a pile of people enjoying the weather, just own that you went skiing, and post a MIN. It helps everyone. A beautiful day to get outside.
